Below are the rules of the Game. These will be updated as the game is played as I belive this is the first time one has attempted to organize said game and so rules may need to be adjusted to accomodate those who enjoy bending the rules.
- A successful PinchPunch takes place when one party simply states the word "PinchPunch" to another party in one of the methods mentioned in rule #3.
- TIME ZONES:Considerations must be made for persons who are in different time zones. It must be the first of the month in both the time zone of the PinchPuchee and the PinchPunched. For example, I cannot start PinchPunching the East Coast when it is 9 o'clock here.
- Appropriate mediums of "PinchPunching" are the following: Verbal (preferred) or Via Text Message. At this point I am going to limit the act of PinchPunching to one of those two methods due to the fact that Facebooking, Tweeting, emailing, or other means are less personal. The above methods typically receive responses (at least in my experience) and hence create more interaction and enjoyment.
- Due to questions raised about the validity of texting, persons can be asked to be exempt from texting and will only be able to PinchPunch or be PinchPunched via phone. To be considerred for this, one must make this preference public to all contestants. One must also agree to answer the phone whenever a potential PinchPuncher is calling. Obviously extenuating circumstances for not answering will have to be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- In order to recieve credit for a successful PinchPunch, you must report your PinchPunch to me within the same day of the PinchPunch. I will accept PinchPunch reports via any method of communication.
- Each person that is successfully PinchPunched will result in a point gained for the one who has done the PinchPunching.
- Once you have successfully PinchPunched another person, that person cannot PinchPunch you back this month and get credit for it. So when I PinchPunch Bill, he cannot PinchPunch me back an hour later and expect to get points. Tough!
Other important notables.
- Obviously, successful PinchPunches are going to be reported on an honor system. Please be truthful about those you PinchPunch as well as concede gracefully when PinchPunched
- Also, all of these rules are subject to change and are open for suggestions from the peanut gallery.
